You've
already read that He created you. You've read that He loves
you. We've even told you how He passionately longs to have
a relationship with you. Even after all of that there is
still more, a lot more, to be told about what God has done
for you.
"God loved you so much that He gave His only Son,
that whoever will believe in Him will have life eternal."
John 3:16
You see, apart from God we live in sin. If we do not repent
to Him and ask for His forgiveness, we will be separated
from Him forever.
"For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory
of God." Romans 3:23
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God
is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans
6:23
"But
God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were
yet sinner, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
Jesus
Christ, God's son, lived on this earth as a man without sin.
He died on the cross so that you and I could live forever.
In order to begin your new life (be saved), you must believe
that Jesus died for your sins and declare that you accept
Him as Savior.
"If you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus,
and will believe in your heart that God raised Him from
the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:13
"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just
and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."
1 John 1:9
If you
want a new life, if you want things to change, if you are
tired of hurting and you feel like God is the only one who
can help, pray this prayer out loud:
God, I am sorry for my sins. Right now, I turn from my
sins and ask you to forgive me. Thank you for sending
Jesus to die on the cross for me. Jesus, I ask you to
come into my life and be my Lord, Savior, and Friend.
Thank you for forgiving me and giving me eternal life.
In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
If you prayed this prayer and meant it, you can be sure that
God has forgiven you and received you into His family. It
would be good to tell a friend, possibly a pastor, about
your new decision to let Jesus be the Lord of your life.
As a new Christian, you will also want to find a Bible believing
Church where you can meet together with other believers.
They will encourage you and help you grow in your new faith.
We would also like you to email us and let us know. We want
to pray that God will help you in your journey.
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation;
the old has gone, the new has come." 2 Cor. 5:17
